Alley Of Heroes Of The Soviet Union
A favorite place of citizens is the Walk of Fame, which ends in the Park of Heroes. There is a memorial to the great Patriotic war: a silver five-pointed star and a figure of a soldier with a lowered banner in his hands perpetuated the memory of the fallen. The memorial was opened in November 1977. Next to it is the Eternal flame and photos of 47 natives of the Akmola region, heroes of the Soviet Union. Every year, on may 9 and June 22, citizens leave flowers here in memory of the victims.
In summer, it is pleasant to walk here — past flowerbeds, benches and shady trees.
